Dr. RK Singh, Meteorologist at Agriculture University, Pant Nagar, said that there is not going to be much relief from the severe winter which has been falling for the last one week. He said that the fog will continue for now. The weather is likely to worsen due to the outbreak of Western Disturbance from late Friday evening. While there is a possibility of rain up to 10 mm on January 22 and 25 mm on January 23. Meteorologists say that the weather will open on January 24, but there will be no relief from the outbreak of cold wave in the morning and evening. The day will be sunny as soon as the weather opens after the rains, but due to the outbreak of cold wave in the morning and evening, there will be no significant increase in the mercury. Dr. Singh has expressed the possibility that there is not going to be much relief from the cold for the next six-seven days. GIC’s weather in-charge Nisar Ahmed Ansari said that on Thursday morning, drizzle was recorded in these areas. Altogether one mm of rain has been recorded. At the same time, the maximum temperature remained at 15.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius.
