Uttarakhand : 15 Brahmins, 6 women candidates, these are 59 candidates of BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party has released the first list of candidates for the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand. As soon as the candidate list was released by the BJP, the suspense ended on who would contest from where the assembly and who would not. BJP announced 59 candidates for the assembly elections to be held in a single phase. From Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to State President Madan Kaushik will also contest in Uttarakhand. In this list, BJP has taken great care of caste equations. Not only this, BJP has cut the ticket of 10 MLAs.

In the first list of BJP, candidates have been announced for 59 seats, in which 6 are women, 15 Brahmins and 3 are from Bania community. While CM Pushkar Dhami will contest the assembly elections from Khatima, state president Madan Kaushik will try his luck from Haridwar. Meaning of BJP’s first list?

There are a total of 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand, on which apart from BJP, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party, BSP has also announced to field candidates in the elections. The Aam Aadmi Party has so far declared candidates in more than 50 seats, while the Congress has lagged behind despite the announcement of releasing the first list on January 14. The Election Commission has fixed the voting date in the state on February 14, which has also raised a demand to take it forward. In such a situation, the BJP has tried to clear its strategy by announcing the candidates.
