The weather pattern in Uttarakhand has changed a bit. After cloudy sky and light rain and snowfall across the state on Thursday, most areas were sunny on Friday. However, during this also there was hailstorm and thunderstorms at some places. According to the State Meteorological Center, this type of weather will remain in the state for now. There is a possibility of hail and rain in four districts including Dehradun. Whereas, there may be light snowfall on the peaks.
Due to the active western disturbance for the last two days, rain clouds have developed in the Himalayan regions. In such a situation, rains and snowfall are also continuing in most areas of Uttarakhand. There was light sunshine in the grounds since morning on Friday. However, the hills adjoining Dehradun remained partly cloudy. In the afternoon, rain and hailstorm started in the surrounding areas including Mussoorie, which continued for about an hour, which continued for about an hour. According to Bikram Singh, director of the State Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of hail and rain in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Nainital on Saturday and Sunday. Apart from this, light snowfall may occur in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar.
