Due to non-lifting of ration, distribution of ration could not be done from seven hundred ration shops on Saturday. The shopkeepers were busy in lifting the ration by closing the shop. It is likely that from Sunday all the shops will start getting ration. The distribution of ration provided by the state government in the district was done from January 7 to January 19.

The government ordered to do the second phase of ration from January 22 to January 31. After its order, from January 20, food grains started supplying from the godown of the Food Corporation of India to the godown of the State Food Corporation. On January 21, ration was supplied to six hundred shopkeepers at the State Food Corporation’s godown. On the first day on Saturday, the distribution of food grains was started from only six hundred ration shops in the district. After the bad weather in the morning, the card holders started arriving to give ration from morning itself. Found locked in some shops. Nearby people told that the shopkeepers have gone to the godown to get ration. Due to this, only ten percent card holders have been able to get ration in the district.

Regional Supply Officer Jitendra Singh said that due to non-lifting of ration, ration could not be distributed at seven hundred shops on Saturday. Ration is being allotted to these shops. Ration distribution will start at all shops from Sunday. This time the card holders are to be given three kg wheat and two kg rice per unit.
