Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad : Salwar gang member caught in teacher eligibility test

The Salwar gang was once again watching the teacher eligibility test, but as soon as the matter came to light, the STF arrested one of the accused. After which Salwar, who was coming to sit for the examination, disappeared after getting down at the station. The officers of Bareilly STF unit are interrogating the accused after arresting the arrested accused. The STF Bareilly unit arrested Sonu Pal, a resident of Bhagatpur, who called the salwars in TET, from Moradabad station in the early hours.

The arrested accused was earlier also arrested on 11 August 2021. During that nine people were arrested by the STF and sent to jail. Teacher eligibility test was going on in Moradabad as well as other districts of the state on Sunday. The arrested accused had taken the contract to place salwars in place of different center candidates. After recording the conversation of the accused with the help of surveillance, the gang leader Sonu Pal was arrested from Moradabad station at around 4 am on Sunday.

However, as soon as the kingpin was arrested, Salwar, who had come from another state, disappeared before coming. The arrested accused told during interrogation that he had called Salvars to appear in the examination in four schools. When the STF team reached these four schools to investigate, all the four candidates were found absent. The accused told that he had the responsibility of taking the salwars from the station to their center.

STF officials said that on Sunday, raids are being conducted to nab the salwars in Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Varanasi, Siddharth Nagar as well as other districts. Civil Lines in-charge Ravindra Pratap Singh said that an accused of Salwar gang has been caught. Along with the police, STF officials are interrogating the arrested accused. Soon other accused will be arrested.

Teachers in both shifts will appear in the eligibility test 34,357 candidates were registered. TET started at 39 exam centers in the first shift. But, at many examination centers, the photocopies of BEd and BTC were stopped for not being certified. This also caused a ruckus among the students. In SS Children’s Academy, about 12 examinees were stopped for not getting the photocopy certified, which caused trouble to the examinees. In RN Inter College also, many students got upset due to non-attested photocopy.

After writing the application from around 10:15 pm, he was given entry. In the first shift 19862 and in the second shift 14495 candidates are registered. The examination centers were closely monitored by the center administrators, sector magistrates, static magistrates. The examination is being conducted under CCTV surveillance. In November, TET was canceled due to paper leak. This time more strictness was taken to conduct copyless TET. The invigilators also inspected the examination centers.

Entry to the centers was closed half an hour before. In the first shift in 1986, 17594 appeared and 2268 were absent. A total of 88.58 percent candidates gave the exam. DIOS Arun Kumar Dubey said that the examination is going on peacefully at all 39 centers. The students had some difficulty in coming due to the rain. But, all the candidates who reached on time were given admission.
