Uttarakhand / Haldwani : AIMIM nominated Matin Siddiqui as candidate

Nominations have started for the assembly elections in Uttarakhand. Polling will be held in the state on February 14 and results will be declared on March 10. All political parties are declaring their candidates. Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has also knocked in Uttarakhand. The party has declared Abdul Matin Siddiqui as its candidate from Haldwani, the hottest seat of Kumaon.

Abdul Mateen Siddiqui left Congress and joined AIMIM. He said that the elections are fought by the people and they have full confidence that this time the people of Haldwani will elect the MLA of MIM. Abdul Mateen claims that the first MLA of MIM from Uttarakhand will be from Haldwani.

Let us tell you that Abdul Mateen Siddiqui was with the Samajwadi Party for a long time. In the year 2016, he left the SP and joined the Congress. This time, he wrote a letter to the party’s veteran leaders including state president Ganesh Godiyal, former CM Harish Rawat, Uttarakhand in-charge Devendra Yadav to contest the assembly elections on a Congress ticket, but after getting no concrete answer, he decided to leave the party and Joined AIMIM.
