In many states of North India, there is a severe cold (North India Cold Wave) for the last few days. Many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Uttarakhand are suffering from the chilly winter. Although, some parts of the past day have seen some sunshine in the afternoon, but the weather is still cool. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that in the coming few days, the havoc of cold in North India will not subside. Due to the snowfall in the mountainous areas, it is getting cold in the plains. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no relief from cold in Uttar Pradesh for the next four days. The cold day situation is going to continue for four days.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of severe cold till January 31, 2022. Due to this, the cold will be at its peak, as a result of which the outbreak of fog and cold wave will continue in the districts like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut and western part. Although the sky will remain clear in the afternoon, but a drop of about five degrees can be recorded in the temperature. The meteorologist said that till February 2, there is no possibility of rain in the states of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and North India including UP.

Another round of cold is about to start again. The cold weather will continue for the next 4-5 days. Yellow alert has been issued for UP. At the same time, in many districts the temperature can go up to 3 degrees. Significantly, icy winds are increasing the winter. The effect of north-westerly winds has intensified. The icy winds of the mountains are showing their effect in the plains at a speed of four to five kilometers per hour. Due to this, along with the cold wave, the mercury has started decreasing in the night and in the morning there is a thick fog around the rivers.
