Uttarakhand : Will have to agree before the date of withdrawal, otherwise, the rebels will spoil the equation of Congress – BJP

Convincing the rebels had become a challenge for the BJP-Congress ahead of the nomination for the 2022 assembly elections in Uttarakhand. Now both the parties are trying to persuade the rebels before the withdrawal of nominations, so that the candidates do not suffer any loss in terms of votes. The BJP has entrusted the responsibility of persuading the rebels to all the veterans including Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. After the intervention of CM Dhami, Sher Singh Gadiya, who rebelled against the BJP in Kapkot on Friday, did not file his nomination.

On the other hand, Harish Rawat, who took command to persuade the rebels in Congress, could not convince Sandhya Dalakoti in his own seat, Lalkuan. If seen in Kumaon division, the rebels of both the BJP-Congress parties have calmed down in Pithoragarh and Champawat districts. At the same time, BJP leaders have been successful in persuading BJP rebel Rakesh Nainwal in Ramnagar.

At the same time, BJP leaders have persuaded Mayor Usha Chaudhary and Ram Malhotra, who have raised the bugle of protest in Kashipur. On Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was to go by helicopter to celebrate the rebel Sher Singh Gadiya in Kapkot. But he could not reach Kapkot due to bad weather. However, the effect of their conversation was that Sher Singh Gadiya did not file an independent nomination.

In Bageshwar, Congress rebels Balkrishna and Bhairav Nath have jumped in the fray as an independent. In Almora’s Dwarahat, Kailash Bhatt is rebelling against the BJP and is in the independent fray. At the same time, BJP rebel Deepak Kargeti has filed an independent nomination in Ranikhet. Narayan Pal, leaving the Congress, is now contesting from the BSP in Sitarangaj seat of Udham Singh Nagar district.

Rajkumar Thukral, BJP MLA from Rudrapur, is contesting as an independent. In Bajpur, Sunita Bajwa is contesting from AAP leaving Congress. If the BJP-Congress fails to persuade the rebels before the withdrawal of nominations on January 31, then both the parties may suffer heavy losses.

Rebellion is not less in Nainital district too

BJP rebels Manoj Sah and Lakhan Singh Negi are in the fray as an independent in Bhimtal seat in the district. BJP rebel Gajraj Bisht is contesting from Kaladhungi as an independent and Congress rebel Manju Tiwari is contesting from AAP. Congress rebel Sanjay Negi is contesting as an independent in Ramnagar. In Lalkuan, BJP’s Baji Pawan Chauhan and Kundan Singh Mehta are in the fray as independents. At the same time, Sandhya Dalakoti of Congress is stuck in the election fray. In Nainital, Hem Arya is leaving BJP and contesting from AAP.
