10.4% decline in new corona cases, 2.09 lakh new cases registered in 24 hours
There has been a decline in new cases of corona in the country. In the last 24 hours, 2,09,918 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. This is 10.4 percent less than yesterday. A day earlier, 2.34 lakh cases of corona were reported. Along with this, a decrease in active cases has also been registered in the country. Active cases have come down to 18,31,268, while the number of active cases a day ago was 18.84 lakh. Due to Corona, 959 deaths have been registered in the last 24 hours, out of which the backlog of 374 deaths in Kerala has been added.
Talking about people recovering from Corona, during the last 24 hours, 2,62,628 people have been cured, after which the total number of people who have been cured has increased to 3,89,76,122. At present, active cases in the country are 4.43 percent of the total cases.
The daily positivity rate in the country has been recorded at 15.77 percent, while the weekly positivity rate is 15.75 percent. Also the recovery rate is 94.37.
In the last 24 hours, 13,31,198 corona tests have been done, after which a total of 72.89 crore corona tests have been done in the country so far. Along with this, 166.03 crore vaccine doses have been given so far through the nationwide vaccination program in the country.
