North Korea took a picture of missile test from space

Images taken from space show parts of the Korean peninsula and surrounding areas. North Korea says the ballistic missile is the medium-range Hwasong-12.
South Korea and Japan say the missile landed in the Sea of Japan after reaching an altitude of 2,000 km. Both countries have condemned this test. This is North Korea’s seventh test this month.
The pictures of the missile test have been released by the state news agency KCNA. It is being said that a camera was fitted in the missile itself and the same camera has sent pictures. Two pictures are taken during the test and the rest of the pictures are in the middle which were taken from above.
Officials in Japan and South Korea have estimated that the missile flew up to 800 km in 30 minutes. The United Nations has placed strict restrictions on North Korea for testing ballistic missiles and nuclear weapons, and for this there is also a provision for economic sanctions.
But this country of East Asia openly violates these restrictions. North Korean ruler Kim Jong Un talks about strengthening the security of his country.

Kim Jong Un was not present
According to the news agency Reuters, a senior US official has asked North Korea for direct talks on an unconditional nuclear and missile program. The official said, “We believe that the start of a serious dialogue is completely appropriate and correct.” Earlier, the US had asked North Korea to avoid such destabilizing work in the future.
Missile tests in North Korea are usually announced by the state media the next day. On Monday, KCNA said the missile test was successful. It is being said that the ruler Kim Jong Un was not present on the occasion.
According to the North Korean News Agency, this test was carried out at high altitude from the North-West region towards the East Korean Sea. KCNA has said that this test is for protection from neighboring countries.
North Korean analyst Ankit Panda has said that Kim Jon-un was not present on the spot. It has been said in the state media about this test that its purpose was to prove that the missile system did the job as it should. KCNA has said that this test was of the medium-range Hwasong-12. This is the first time that a nuclear-capable missile has been test-fired since 2017.
A total of six tests were conducted that year, including two over the Japanese island of Hokkaido. The people living here started getting electronic alerts. North Korea has previously said that the Hwasong-12 is capable of carrying large nuclear warheads.
10 years of Kim Jong Un’s rule, where does North Korea stand?
Why is the fear of starvation increasing with the arrival of winter in North Korea

BLUF: in '17, NK presented these launches as a much bigger deal (KJU guided them, front-page news). The message? "We have new missiles and you should know they work."
Now, it's a fact-of-life: we have missiles, they work, and we'll occasionally test them to make sure they work. https://t.co/JWjGQ0v99z

Among them is to give a political message to global and regional powers and also that Kim Jong-un also wants to pressure to start US-backed nuclear talks. This conversation has been stalled for a long time. In addition, there are practical requirements for testing new engineering and military command systems.
The timing of the test is also very important. The Winter Olympics are going to start in China and there is a presidential election in South Korea in March. Apart from this, North Korea’s economy has collapsed due to US sanctions, then missile tests have suddenly increased. Along with this, North Korea is also grappling with the problems related to the Korana epidemic and decades of disorder.
Dr Daniel Pinkston, a lecturer in international relations at Troy University, told the BBC that North Korea was probably sending a message to the big powers, China, the US, the UN Security Council and regional adversaries.

Presidential election in South Korea
He said, “There is a presidential election in South Korea within a month. So this is similar to his past behavior of intimidating South Korea and its incoming president.
According to analysts, the missile test earlier this month clearly showed that North Korea was developing technology to counter the expensive and complex missile defense of the US and Japan.
Professor Kim Dong-yup, a former Navy commander of South Korea, said, “They want to develop deterrence. North Korea’s goal is not to attack, but to defend itself. This country wants to chalk out its deterrence.
In 2018, Kim Jong-un announced a halt to the testing of long-range intercontinental ballistic missiles. But in 2019, the North Korean ruler said that he could not hold on to this ban for long. The US announced tough sanctions on North Korea’s missile tests. Talks between the two countries have been postponed for a long time.
