The Meteorological Department Dehradun has predicted heavy rains in the hilly districts of Garhwal and Kumaon. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall in Kumaon and Garhwal regions with rain at an altitude of 2500 meters or more. In the districts like Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar of Kumaon region, there may be heavy rain with isolated heavy showers. According to the report released by the Meteorological Department, in view of the possibility of heavy rain from the ground to the outside, there is also a possibility of severe cooling. In view of this, an orange alert has been issued in Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar. While there is a yellow alert in Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri and Tehri.

Snowfall blocked the way

At the same time, the Badrinath Highway has been closed due to snowfall. Snow removal work is going on continuously from Badrinath Highway and Malari Highway connecting China border. Three kilometers of work is still left. At the same time, Joshimath-Malari highway has also been cleared till Malari. Here the movement of army vehicles has become smooth till Malari, but the Malari Highway is yet to be opened till the army posts. The temperature here is reaching minus 15 degrees, due to which there is a lot of difficulty in working.
