Uttarakhand : Congress celebrates 8, BJP celebrates 5 rebels, but BJP is upset on 15 seats
In the damage control plan prepared for the 2022 assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be lagging behind the Congress. The party has neither been able to persuade the rebel leaders nor has any strict action been taken so far. In such a situation, questions are being raised on the discipline of the party. The situation is that even after withdrawal of nominations, 15 BJP leaders are in the fray against the official candidates of the party. Not only this, despite the passage of two days, the party has not yet been able to take any strict action against him. The party had also imposed the duty of MPs of the state to persuade the rebels, but except Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni and Haridwar MP Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, others could not show much wonder. It is being told that the rebels did not even pick up the phones of the leaders running the state level organization.
Congress celebrated eight-BJP five rebels
20 BJP leaders had filed nominations against the authorized candidates, out of which the party was successful in persuading five. After this, now 15 BJP leaders are rebels. Similarly, 15 rebels of the Congress were in the fray, out of which eight were persuaded, while four out of the seven rebels were expelled from the party on Tuesday itself and shown the way out.
The management of Congress was also very active in damage control. Angry over not getting ticket from Rishikesh, Shoorveer Singh Sajwan was made working president of the party, while Raghuveer Visht was made general minister for not getting ticket from Lansdowne. Similarly, to remove Jyoti Rautela’s displeasure, she was given the responsibility of Mahila Congress President. On the contrary, the BJP leadership is still staring at the rebels.

In view of the situation of rebellion in large numbers in the party, the National General Secretary organization of BJP is reaching Doon. It is being told that efforts will be made to persuade the rebel leaders from their level as well. If still the rebels do not agree, then strict steps will be taken. Party sources said the state leadership has now thrown the ball in the top leadership’s court. We are not afraid of the rebels, but efforts are being made to persuade them. Talks are going on with many rebel leaders, if they do not start campaigning in favor of the BJP candidate, then they will take action.
