Uttarakhand : Madan Kaushik’s attack on Congress’s pledge, said – Congress manifesto is a bundle of lies

The Uttarakhand unit of the BJP said the Congress manifesto released here by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for the assembly elections in the state is full of “false promises”. Terming the manifesto as a “bundle of lies”, state BJP president Madan Kaushik said the Congress has done the exact opposite of what it promised while distributing tickets for the elections in the state. Kaushik alleged that despite promising 40 per cent tickets to women, the party canceled the candidatures of some women, including Dalit candidate Barkha Rani and Sandhya Dalakoti from Lalkuan. Kaushik said, “Priyanka Gandhi should first clarify this discrepancy.
Kaushik said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had recently come here to announce that if Congress comes to power, the price of cooking gas will not be allowed to exceed Rs 500. He should first explain why LPG cylinders are being sold for Rs 1,000 in his state,” the BJP leader said. Kaushik said that former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot came here and talked about unemployment but the unemployment rate in his state is higher than that of Uttarakhand. The BJP leader said the unemployment rate in Rajasthan is 20.3 per cent, while in Uttarakhand it is 5.6 per cent.
