Rahul Gandhi’s four promises to Uttarakhand – 4 lakh jobs, 500 cylinders, home treatment and ‘justice’ guaranteed

In view of the Uttarakhand elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made four promises to the people of Uttarakhand in Haridwar on Saturday. In the Uttarakhandi Swabhiman rally of Congress, he said, we are making 4 promises to you. We will give employment to 4 lakh people. We will give LPG cylinder less than Rs.500. We will also implement ‘NYAY’ scheme here, in which 5 lakh families will be given Rs 40,000 in a year. We will provide medical facilities at your doorstep, he said. “We had promised loan waiver for farmers in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Punjab and we did that,” he said.
While addressing the farmers of Udham Singh Nagar, the Congress leader described the Manmohan Singh government as the golden period. Why was Manmohan Singh’s time ‘Golden Period’? That golden period was because at that time there was a partnership between the farmers and the government. At that time the doors of the government used to open for you, they were not closed.
The Congress leader further said that at that time there was a Prime Minister in India and there is a king in today’s India. The Prime Minister listens, their doors were open to farmers, labourers, small traders.
In his address, the former Congress President targeted PM Modi. Today Narendra Modi is not the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister said that I am the king. The king does not talk to the worker, the farmer. The king will neither listen nor talk. Only the king will decide. We are making 4 promises to you. We will give employment to 4 lakh people. We will give LPG cylinder less than Rs.500. We will also implement ‘NYAY’ scheme here, in which 5 lakh families will be given Rs 40,000 in a year.
