Uttar Pradesh / Sonbhadra : Wife turns husband’s murderer – together with lover made husband away from life
The son of a retired health worker was murdered by his wife in ward number-6 of Duddhi, Sonbhadra. Together with the lover, the wife first put her husband to death, then filled the demand with vermilion in front of the dead body. During this entire incident, both his children were also sleeping nearby. Within just 40 hours, the police arrested the accused wife and her lover, making a sensational disclosure of the incident. Illegal arms, cartridges, rubber pipe used in the murder and three mobile phones were also recovered from the lover. After interrogation, both were sent to jail under relevant sections.
Speaking to reporters in Sadar Kotwali premises on Friday, SP Amarendra Prasad Singh said that the police was informed about the murder of Rajiv Srivastava on Thursday morning. When the police reached the spot and investigated, it became clear that the incident happened hours before. During the interrogation, the statement of the wife and the circumstances of the incident did not match. Nevertheless, on the complaint of his wife, a case was registered against three unknown people and started investigation.
When the team of Duddhi Kotwal Raghavendra Singh, SOG in-charge Sajid Siddiqui, SWAT in-charge Amit Tiwari and surveillance in-charge Sarojma Singh, led by ASP Vijay Shankar Mishra and Duddhi CO Ramashish Yadav, investigated the incident, many surprising things came to light. Based on the information received from surveillance, the police caught Lavkush Srivastava resident of Sagra police station Ketar district Garhwa (Jharkhand) near Vindhamganj railway station.
He was trying to run away by catching the train. During the search, a pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from him. On enquiry, Lavkush told that Rajiv’s wife is in love with him. When the children fell asleep after having dinner on Wednesday night, both of them killed Rajiv by strangling him with a rubber pipe. After this the police arrested Rajiv’s wife Mamta from her house.
25 thousand reward to the police team
SP Amarendra Prasad Singh said that a reward of Rs 25,000 would be given to the police team involved in nabbing the killers. SI Vimlesh Kumar, Jai Prakash Sharma, Head Constable Chandrabhan Yadav, Arvind Singh, Jagdish Maurya, Amar Singh, Shashi Pratap Singh, Harikesh Yadav, Ritesh Patel, Saurabh Rai, Dilip Kashyap, Amit Singh, Pradeep Rai posted in Duddhi Kotwali in the police team Shambhu Prasad also made an important contribution.
