There is a big risk of new variants of Corona coming, WHO warns

Many countries of the world are currently fighting a battle against the corona virus and its variant Omicron. Meanwhile, an official of the World Health Organization has described the new variant of COVID-19 as a ‘wild card’. He cautions that Omicron itself is not final and that the risk of potential new variants is indeed huge.
During a live streaming on WHO’s social media platform on Tuesday, many questions were asked, which were answered by the World Health Organization. WHO’s COVID-19 Technical Lead Marika van Kerkow said that global health agencies are investigating four different variants of Omicron.
Marika Van said, ‘We know a lot about this virus, but we don’t know everything. Frankly speaking, variants are the wild card. That’s why we are tracking the virus in real time. We are continuously tracking its mutations and changes in it. But the virus has many places to move.
The WHO official said, ‘Omicron variants are a matter of fresh concern right now. This is not the last severe variant the World Health Organization is talking about. Hopefully the hijacked variant will also come. However, it will take some time to reach there. The way the rate of infection has increased, the possibility of having other variants is very high. So we need to re-ensure that we not only increase the vaccination coverage but also follow all the rules to prevent infection.
