Rohit Sharma won the heart by continuing the tradition of Dhoni-Kohli, lifting the trophy and handed it directly to Ravi Bishnoi

This is India’s first ODI series win under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma as full-time captain. The new captain Rohit also continued the post-series win tradition that has been going on since the captaincy of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

After the match, when Rohit picked up the trophy, he went straight and handed it over to Ravi Bishnoi, the youngest player of the team and stood aside. Batting first after winning the toss, India scored 265 runs in 50 overs on the back of brilliant half-centuries from Shreyas Iyer (80) and Rishabh Pant (56). In reply, West Indies were all out for 169 runs in 37.1 overs. For India, Mohammad Siraj and famous Krishna took three wickets each, Deepak Chahar-Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets each.
