Uttarakhand : Election Commission not satisfied with BJP’s response to Harish Rawat’s photo tampering!

The Election Commission has taken a tough stand in the matter of tampering with the picture of former CM Harish Rawat. In this case, Congress leaders met Chief Electoral Officer of Uttarakhand Sowjanya on Friday and lodged a complaint against BJP. In the matter, the Election Commission has warned Uttarakhand BJP to be more careful in future. The commission has advised the party to follow all the provisions of the code of conduct.

This was the case: Congress leader Randeep Surjewala spoke to CEC and demanded registration of FIR against BJP. Randeep Surjewala had alleged that BJP has violated the model code of conduct and law. He had alleged that the BJP wanted to create discrimination among the people on religious grounds. Recently, the Election Commission had issued a notice to the Uttarakhand unit of BJP for tweeting by tampering with the picture of former CM Harish Rawat.

BJP gave this answer: In an order of the Election Commission, it has been said that the purpose of the tweet was neither to violate any provision of the Model Code of Conduct, nor religion, caste, caste and religion. No differences were to be created between the groups on the basis of language. The BJP told the Election Commission that the tweet has been removed from its official Twitter handle. But the Election Commission has not found the BJP’s reply satisfactory.

The Election Commission said this: In the matter, the Election Commission has issued an order warning the Uttarakhand BJP to be more careful in future. Along with this, all the provisions of the model code of conduct and other guidelines of the commission have been advised to be followed. It may be noted that the Election Commission had sought a reply from the BJP within 24 hours in the case of tampering with the picture of former CM Harish Rawat in the Muslim University case.
