The dead body of a youth from Dehradun was recovered by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team from Rishikesh Barrage. According to the police, on February 11, Prakhar Pal’s scooty was seen at Pashulok Barrage. On the basis of which it was found from the CCTV footage that he had gone on foot towards the barrage. After this, SDRF’s deep diving team Dhalwala Munikireti started searching and diving in the barrage under the leadership of Sub Inspector Kavindra Sajwan from Sunday morning. Deep Diver Constable Anoop Singh recovered Prakhar Pal’s body during a search by going about 30 feet deep. Matbar Singh, Ravindra Singh, Arjun Singh, Amit Kumar were included in the SDRF team.
Inspector-in-Charge Mukesh Kumar Chauhan said that the saint has been identified as Brahmavihar Latowali, a resident of Abhayanand Giri. No marks were found on the body. He probably died due to some disease. The deceased saints were associated with Juna Akhara. Told that the cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem report comes.
