Parliament TV’s YouTube channel hacked! Hackers Change Name to Ethereum Cryptocurrency

YouTube on Tuesday closed that YouTube channel of Sansad TV. The channel on which most of the proceedings of Parliament are broadcast. Actually, it is being told that the YouTube channel of Parliament TV has been hacked. That’s why YouTube has taken this step. Sansad Television said in a press release that the channel’s account was hacked and its name was changed to ‘Ethereum’ which is a cryptocurrency.
Parliament TV’s account on YouTube has been suspended for allegedly violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines. The proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are broadcast live on this YouTube channel. There are reports on social media that the channel of Parliament TV was hacked and renamed as Ethereum which is a cryptocurrency. Officials say that this issue has been raised with Google. An official said that something like hacking has happened. A complaint has been made to Google and they are looking into it.

Screenshots of Parliament TV’s YouTube channel are being shared on social media. The screenshot reads, ‘This account has been disabled for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines.’ However, it is not known which guidelines were violated or on what basis this action has been taken . On opening the channel on Tuesday morning, it was written, ‘This page is not available. Apologies for this. Try searching for something else.’ In addition, ‘404 error’ was also showing.
According to YouTube’s Community Guidelines, these guidelines are the same for all users and for all types of content available on the platform. This includes videos, comments on videos, thumbnails, links and the content that goes in the description. YouTube has a combination of machinery and a manual team, which implements and monitors all the above guidelines by YouTube. The platform has designed the layout of these guidelines to ensure a safe, friendly environment for the community.
