Triangular and quadrangular contest on thirty seats in Uttarakhand, UKD and AAP are also involved in the competition on 8 seats

29 seats of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly are seen to be trapped in a triangular contest. While the contest on one seat remained quadrangular. That is, there will be a direct contest between the candidates on 40 seats. Instead of a direct contest, the seats which are caught in a triangular contest between the candidates of different parties, whoever wins more than 20 seats, it is also expected that the key to power will be in his hands. If BJP and Congress do not get a clear majority, then along with independents, AAP, Ukrand, BSP can hold the key to power.

Seats stuck in BJP rebels

Rebel candidates from Bharatiya Janata Party have posed a tough challenge in seven seats. In Kodwar and Dharampur seats, the party rebels have made the fight tough. The whole maths of victory and defeat in these seats rests on the vote of the rebels.

Interesting contest in Tehri and Khanpur too

In Tehri, Uttarakhand Jan Ekta Party Dinesh Dhanai has made the match triangular. Whereas in Khanpur, independent Umesh Kumar has presented a tough challenge to the BJP, Congress and BSP. The competition here remains quadrangular. Independent Kuldeep Rawat has implicated Congress and BJP in a triangular contest in Kedarnath.
