Uttar Pradesh : Mukhtar Ansari gets big relief, bail in gangster case after 11 years, will he be released from jail?

Bahubali MLA Mukhtar Ansari got a big relief on Wednesday. Mau’s MP-MLA court has granted bail to Mukhtar in the gangster case. Along with this, the Superintendent of Banda Jail has also been ordered to be released in this case. However, many other cases have also been filed on Mukhtar in the past. In such a situation, at least during the UP assembly elections, he will remain in jail.

Mau police clarified through tweet that Mukhtar Ansari is not being released from jail. It was written in the tweet on behalf of the police that at present, a total of 12 cases are registered against Mafia Mukhtar Ansari, the leader of the gang registered in the name of IS 91. Of these, 4 cases are registered in Ghazipur, one in Varanasi, one in Azamgarh, one in Barabanki and 5 in Mau.

Mukhtar Ansari is not contesting for the first time after three decades. In his place, son Abbas Ansari has been fielded from Mau Sadar seat. Abbas has been given ticket by the Subhaspa which is part of the SP alliance.

According to Mukhtar Ansari’s advocate Daroga Singh, a gangster case was registered in 2010 at Dakshin Tola police station in Mau. Daroga Singh said that only the police register the gangster’s case. After the trial in 2010, the remand was made in 2011. Mukhtar has been in jail since then.

On behalf of Mukhtar, it was said in the court that the sentence of a gangster cannot be more than ten years. Whereas Mukhtar has been in jail longer than that. As such, they should be granted bail. According to the advocate, the court found Mukhtar’s application and claims to be true. Mukhtar was granted bail on a surety of one lakh. Along with this, the Banda jail superintendent has been ordered to release Mukhtar in this case.

Release not possible

Mukhtar Ansari may have got bail in the gangster case but his release from jail does not seem possible at the moment. 12 cases have been registered against him in the Yogi government itself. A total of 15 cases are registered against him. He has been named in many cases including fake registration of ambulance only after being brought here from Punjab.

Former UP DGP OP Singh said in a conversation with a channel that he does not think that Mukhtar Ansari can come out of jail right now. He got bail in only one case. Many other cases are also registered against him. On the other hand, another former DGP Vikram Singh says that Mukhtar Ansari getting bail is unfortunate.

There should be an appeal against this bail. Although his release is difficult, but bail can be obtained in other cases as well. Said that Mukhtar Ansari has taken advantage of the election time. He knew that the district administration and police were busy with elections. Now solid defense has to be ensured.
