Bird flu knock in India amid Corona crisis, sudden death of 100 chickens in a poultry farm in Thane district of Maharashtra

Bird flu has knocked in the midst of the Corona virus crisis in the country and the sudden death of about 100 chickens in a poultry farm located in Thane district of Maharashtra has stirred up. Thane DM and Collector Rajesh J. Narvekar said that in view of the threat of bird flu, samples of chickens have been sent to a laboratory in Pune. 25 thousand birds will be killed in view of the danger

In view of the threat of bird flu, the administration is on alert and about 25 thousand birds coming within a kilometer radius of the affected poultry farm will be killed. Thane DM and Collector Rajesh J. Narvekar said, “About 100 chickens suddenly died in a poultry farm in Veholi village of Shahpur tehsil of Thane district. In view of the threat of bird flu, their samples have been sent to a laboratory in Pune.

He said, “In the next few days, around 25,000 birds coming within a kilometer radius of the affected poultry farm will be killed. The District Animal Husbandry Department has been ordered to take measures to control the infection.

Chickens die from H5N1 avian influenza

Thane Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr Bhausaheb Dangde said, “Recently, around 100 birds died in a poultry farm in Vehroli village of Shahpur tehsil. His samples were sent to a laboratory in Pune for testing and the results confirmed that he died due to H5N1 avian influenza.

Strict steps will be taken to prevent infection

Dr. Bhausaheb Dangde said that the Animal Husbandry Department of the district would take measures to prevent the spread of the infection to other birds. He said that the Union Ministry of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry has been informed about the cases of bird flu here. .
