Now the government has become strict against the demonstration of truck drivers, two leaders of the protesters arrested

The protesting truck drivers are not ready to give up, despite the Canadian government’s strong stance and warnings of strong police action. Police have arrested two politicians leading hundreds of truck drivers who blocked the streets of the capital Ottawa. Tamara Licht and Chris Barber, who were leading the protesters, were arrested from the Parliament Hill area.

Meanwhile, the police warned of an end to the three-week-old protests, but ignoring this warning, the protesting truck drivers stayed there. By blowing the horns of their respective trucks, they are indicating not to move from there.

In view of the strict attitude of the protesters, the policemen have cordoned off the government buildings in Parliament Hill area by putting barbed wire around them. Most areas of the city have been sealed so that outside aid cannot reach the protesters. Ottawa Police Interim Chief Steve Bell said the action was necessary because of the potential for danger. We are fully committed to putting an end to illegal demonstrations. On the other hand, the government is also strict about the demonstration and is freezing their bank accounts. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has warned protesters to stop illegal and dangerous activities.
