Uttarakhand : If circumstances arise, independents can also increase in stature, BJP – Congress is engaged in multiplication

If BJP and Congress do not get a clear majority in Uttarakhand, then the road to power may pass through independents and smaller parties. In such a situation, BJP and Congress will keep an eye on them in the mathematics of forming the government. After the voting, though the leaders of BJP and Congress are claiming absolute majority, but what picture emerges after the counting of votes will be closely watched by both the parties. If you look at the data of the last four elections of Uttarakhand, every time independent candidates have won.
In the 2002 elections, four independents had won in 2007 and 2012. In 2017 despite the Modi wave, two independents managed to win. If the same figures remain in this election as well, then the stature of such victorious independents can increase. The leaders of BJP and Congress are engaged in this multiplication these days.
There is a discussion among the leaders of both the parties that if for some reason an absolute majority is not available, then in this situation the ladder of power can be climbed through independents. In the election, Sanjay Doval from Yamunotri, Kuldeep Rawat from Kedarnath, Rajkumar Thukral from Rudrapur, UKD Diwakar Bhatt from Devprayag and Umesh Kumar from Khanpur are being considered by both BJP and Congress. In such a situation, the eyes of the parties are fixed on them. The leaders of both the parties are also not forgetting to congratulate the above candidates.
