Bajrang Dal worker killed in Karnataka’s Shivamogga, schools-colleges closed after tension, force deployed

Harsha, a Bajrang Dal worker, was murdered in Karnataka’s Shivamogga on Sunday night. There is tension in the area after this murder. It is being said that the 26-year-old BJP leader had written something on social media about the hijab. There was a lot of ruckus in the area after the murder. The vehicles were set on fire after the demolition. Security has been tightened in the area seeing the ruckus increasing. Section 144 has been imposed. Schools and colleges have been closed.
Police said communal tension broke out after the killing of a Bajrang Dal worker. After the violence, the police department in the entire state is on high alert. Fearing large-scale violence, the town of Shivamogga has been turned into a police bastion.
Tailor’s work
The Bajrang Dal worker, identified as Harsh, was brutally murdered near Ravivarma Street in Bharti Colony late on Sunday night. Harsha was a tailor by profession and used to hold the post of ‘Prakand Sahakaryadarshi’ (coordinator) of Bajrang Dal in the district.
The youth was killed by a group of 4-5 youths. I don’t know if any organization is behind this murder. Schools and colleges in the city limits have been closed for two days as a precautionary measure to control the law and order situation in Shivamogga.

The miscreants came in the car
It is being told that the miscreants who came in the car chased him and attacked him with deadly weapons and fled from the spot. Although Harsh was taken to Megan Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. Harsh was actively involved in the activities of Bajrang Dal and VHP. He was at the forefront of Ganesh festival and immersion ceremony. Tension prevailed soon after the incident.
It is being said that Harsh had allegedly put up a post on Facebook and a complaint was lodged against him at the Doddapet police station. It is being said that Harsh was constantly receiving threatening calls and had received death threats.
Home Minister spoke to the family
Karnataka Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said the matter was not related to the ongoing hijab controversy in the state. But we are awaiting further investigation report before reaching any conclusion, he said. Araga Gyanendra spoke to the family of the deceased in Shivamogga.

The Home Minister said that a special team has been formed to investigate the murder. Taking immediate action, force personnel have been deployed. Here Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai spoke to the Home Minister over the phone. According to sources, the Home Minister told the CM that 4-5 people could be involved in the murder of the youth.
