Bihar : Will Nitish Kumar split from BJP after UP elections?

Big news has come amidst discussions of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar being made the Presidential candidate by the opposition. According to sources, after the UP elections, Nitish Kumar is contemplating to separate from the BJP alliance ie NDA. He can take a decision on this soon. Election strategist Prashant Kishor has met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Nitish Kumar recently. Also, NCP Chief Sharad Sharad Pawar is keeping an eye on all the sequence of events.
The stir that is going on regarding Nitish’s name, questions related to it are also being raised-
- Has the opposition made a dent in the unity of the NDA?
- Will the opposition campaign succeed in the presidential election?
- Whose future will the election results on March 10 decide?
- Why is Nitish’s name discussed?
The talk of making Nitish Kumar the President started when KCR and Prashant Kishor met this month. In Telangana elections, PK’s team will work for KCR’s party TRS this time. In the meeting that lasted for two days, there was a long discussion on making Nitish contest the presidential election. After this Nitish and Prashant Kishor met at dinner in Patna. At the same time, KCR met Sharad Pawar and CM Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai. Earlier, RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav also met KCR.
The big thing is that Nitish’s party in Bihar is a coalition government of JDU and BJP. But there is a tussle between JDU and BJP regarding the caste census. RJD is with Nitish on this issue. The strategy of the opposition is to give such a strong candidate against the BJP that the Congress is also forced to support the same.
