Uttarakhand : The election has not been won yet, there is a tussle over the face

Whose government will be formed in Uttarakhand, it will be known only after the counting of votes, but the manner in which the tug of war is going on in the Congress regarding the Chief Minister has heated up the political temperature. If Harish Rawat wants to become the Chief Minister in the state, then his opponents are opposing Harish Rawat. Meanwhile, former cabinet minister Yashpal Arya has directly advocated for Harish Rawat to be made the CM.

There are some people in politics who never forget the favor of those who helped them in difficult times. On one hand Pritam Singh has strongly opposed Harish Rawat’s aspiration to become CM, on the other hand Yashpal Arya has supported Harish Rawat for the post of CM. Former CM Harish Rawat has said that he will either become the Chief Minister or sit at home. The reactions of Congress leaders are coming out on this. On this statement of Harish Rawat, Congress leader Yashpal Arya said that there is no opposition to Harish Rawat. However, the final decision has to be taken by the party high command.

Expressing his displeasure over this, senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh has said that whatever the Congress High Command orders, it will be followed. On the other hand, Yashpal Arya, a close aide of Harish Rawat and former cabinet minister, has said that Harish Rawat is a big face of Uttarakhand and Harish Rawat has a big contribution in the construction of Uttarakhand and development of Uttarakhand. Harish Rawat was also the chairman of the election campaign committee, under his leadership the election was fought. At the same time, the Congress government is going to be formed in the state, so there is no opposition to Harish Rawat.

However, in 2016, Yashpal Arya joined the BJP, leaving the Harish Rawat government in the middle. He remained a cabinet minister for about five years in the BJP government. Just before the election, leaving BJP and returning to Congress with son Sanjeev Arya, Yashpal Arya never made any anti-congress rhetoric for Congress or Congress leaders while in BJP government. So when he left the BJP, he was immediately taken to the Congress. He and his son had also got tickets.
