In phase 4 of UP elections, mischievous person put faviquick in EVM, did not press the button, this party complained

Under the fourth phase of UP Vidhan Sabha elections 2022, voting is being held in 59 seats in 9 districts of the state. Among them there is also Lakhimpur Kheri. Meanwhile, in Kadipursani village of Sadar seat of Lakhimpur Kheri, some mischievous person put faviquick in the EVM, after which there was a ruckus here. Regarding this, the SP alleged that because of the feviquick, the button of the cycle of its candidate was not being pressed.
According to media reports, voting was stalled for about an hour due to the insertion of faviquick in the EVMs. Then the administration changed the EVM machine. Only then the voting could be resumed. Former MLA and SP candidate Utkarsh Verma, while talking to reporters, alleged that someone put faviquick on his number button in EVMs.
Because of this the button was not pressing. He said that the complaint regarding this matter was sent to the Election Commission, then action was taken and voting could be started. Meanwhile, polling was halted for about one to one and a half hours. The SP candidate demanded that action should be taken against the person who has inserted faviquick in the EVM by identifying it through CCTV.
It is worth mentioning that today the eight seats of Lakhimpur Kheri are Nighasan, Palia, Gola Gorakhnath, Dhaurhara, Srinagar, Lakhimpur, Mohammadi and Kasta. In the 2017 elections, the BJP had won all these seats. This time due to Tikunia violence, Lakhimpur Kheri and Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni coming from here are in discussion. Recently, in the Lakhimpur violence case, Union Minister’s son Ashish Mishra has come out on bail from the High Court.
