The elderly woman was called ‘a wage earner of Rs 100’, the court added to the difficulties of Kangana Ranaut

Now in this case, the Bathinda court has issued a defamation notice to Kangana. According to the notice, Kangana will have to appear in court on April 19.

Mahinder Kaur, a resident of Bahadurgarh Jandia village of Bathinda, had filed a defamation case against Kangana in the court on 04 January 2021 last year. The hearing of this case lasted for months. Her lawyer Raghubir Singh Bahniwal told that a complaint was lodged against Kangana under sections 499 and 500 of the IPC. Now the court has issued a defamation notice against Kangana in the same case.

Mahinder Kaur had said in her complaint that Kangana Ranaut made a wrong tweet against her. Comparing her with another woman and also made many false allegations. He said that Kangana’s tweet has damaged her reputation and reputation. They have had to face mental stress, pain, harassment in the eyes of their family, relatives, neighbors and villagers. She had said that she was a farmer, so she became a part of the farmers’ movement. Even after this, Kangana did not apologize to him.

Who is Kangana? Why are you defaming me? I don’t go on a daily basis. I do farming. They come and join me, grab agricultural tools, know how difficult the job of a farmer is.

Kangana made a tweet on 27 November 2020 (by then her Twitter account was not suspended). In this tweet, he shared the picture of Mahinder Kaur, who joined the farmers’ movement and wrote that Dadi, who joined Shaheen Bagh, has joined the farmers’ movement on a daily wage of Rs 100.

Kangana had tweeted this, mistaking Mahinder Kaur as Bilkis Bano, who was protesting anti-CAA in Shaheen Bagh. But when the controversy escalated, he later deleted this tweet. A fact-checking report had proved his tweet wrong. After this tweet of Kangana, farmers in many parts of Punjab also raised slogans against her.
