55 year old ITBP commandant Ratan Singh completed 65 pushups in -30 degree, video viral on social media

Completed 65 pushups in -30 degrees
According to a tweet by news agency ANI, 55-year-old Commandant of the Indian Border Security Force (ITBP) Ratan Singh Sonal has set a record of successfully hitting 65 pushups in Ladakh at an altitude of about 17,500 feet and a temperature of around -30 degree Celsius. The video of him completing this push-up is now going viral on social media.

Mount Manaslu, the eighth highest peak, was conquered
Let us inform that Ratan Singh Sonal has set a new record in the world by conquering the eighth highest peak of the world, Mount Manaslu. ITBT Commandant Ratan Singh Sonal and Deputy Commandant Anoop Kumar successfully climbed this peak on 25 September 2021. The height of this peak is 8,163 meters (26781 feet) above sea level. This mountaineering expedition started on 7 September 2012.

Ratan Singh Sonal achieved many achievements
Commandant Ratan Singh Sonal, originally a resident of Pithoragarh in Kumaun Valley of Uttarakhand, was recruited in the ITBP as a sub-inspector in the 1988 batch. He has made many great achievements during his service.
ITBP was formed in 1962
Let us tell you that ITBP was established on 24 October 1962. ITBP personnel are mainly deployed to guard the 3,488-km-long India-China border from the Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Jaachep La in Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this, the force is also playing an important role in many internal security works and in Naxal affected areas in Chhattisgarh. Most of the force’s border posts are located at altitudes ranging from 9,000 feet to 18,800 feet, where temperatures drop to minus 45 degrees Celsius.
