Uttarakhand : Dehradun Smart City CEO Dr.R Rajesh Kumar lodged FIR on Bridge and Roof Company, issued show cause notice to GAIL

Everyone is aware of how much waste has been caused to the people in the name of making the capital city smart. The companies related to this have shown only negligence and incompetence so far. People and media have always been keeping the administration and government under wraps by raising their fingers. The name of this project in the city seems to be excavated without any mind and without planning, the work is being done so carelessly and sluggishly that even the patience of the CEO has collapsed.
Taking the tortoise move and negligence of the project seriously, District Magistrate and Chief Executive Officer Dr.R. Rajesh Kumar, targeting the Bridge and Roof Company (BNR) and lodged an FIR against it. A show cause notice was also issued to the government company GAIL. This is believed to be the first and strictest action against any company associated with the project. It is expected that now the project will work better and pick up pace.
The District Magistrate instructed the officials of the companies concerned to complete the construction work and the project on time. On 17 February 2022, Smart City Limited had directed the Bridge and Roof Company (BNR) to repair potholes and asphalt on Rajpur Road. The deadline to complete this work was fixed by February 21. B&R did not follow the instructions. Ignoring the safety standard of common people during construction works. The work of GAIL company was also found to be very negligent in the works of underground gas pipeline in the project.
GAIL damaged 200 mm diameter water distribution system of Dehradun Smart City and Rising Main of Dehradun Smart City on 18 February without prior notice at T Junction on Balveer Road without prior notice. As a result, a large amount of drinking water wasted. The CEO gave an ultimatum to fix the broken lines by the evening of February 20. In case of non-satisfactory reply to the show cause notice given to GAIL, the CEO directed to take legal action.
