Himachal Pradesh / Hamirpur : Granddaughter trapped in Ukraine, worried grandfather watching war news on TV dies of heart attack

After the war between Russia and Ukraine, now the demand to bring Indians trapped in Ukraine to India is gaining momentum. There is an atmosphere of panic among the families of Indians studying in Ukraine. The family is eyeing the TV day and night. A girl student of Gauna Panchayat of Nadaun sub-division of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh is trapped in Ukraine. The student’s grandfather died of a heart attack after seeing the news of the Ukraine-Russia war on TV.
According to the information, Payal of Gauna is doing MBBS in Ukraine. His grandfather Ratan Chand was watching the news on TV about the war situation in Ukraine when he suffered a heart attack and died. The relatives of Aryan Ratna falling in Ukraine from this area are also worried.
Children of Hamirpur stranded
Not only this, Shubham Janga of Bhadrol Panchayat is also studying from Ukraine. Shubham Janga’s father Milap Janga told that after he came to know about the war, the trouble got worse. Shubham’s taya Kailash Janga told that Shubham’s call came that bomb blasts are happening near his hostel, due to which everyone is shocked. He told that in the past, he had taken an airline ticket for Shubham’s return by paying 3 times the money, but due to the closure of the flights, he could not come from there, due to which the family has become even more upset. The parents of these children have demanded from the government that the children should be brought safely to India as soon as possible. He has demanded from the central and state governments that in these circumstances, early efforts should be made to bring back the students trapped there.
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur addressed the Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to take necessary measures to bring back the people of the state trapped in Ukraine due to conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In a letter to the Union External Affairs Minister in this regard, the Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of External Affairs and said that according to preliminary information, more than 130 people of Himachal Pradesh are stranded in Ukraine. He said that the state government is concerned for the safety of the people of the state trapped in Ukraine. He said that the Chief Secretary of the State is already in touch with the Foreign Secretary in this regard. Jai Ram Thakur also appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry to set up a helpline in Ukraine as well as in New Delhi to assist the stranded Indians in Ukraine.
