Manmohan Lamba has been elected as the new President of the Uttarakhand Bar Council and Rao Munfat Ali as the Vice President. The election results were announced after voting for the council was held on Friday. Bar Council member secretary and election officer Guest Singh Koranga told that the winning candidate Manmohan Lamba got 11 votes and the other candidate Anil Pandit got 10 votes and the vice-president’s candidate Rao Munfat Ali got 11 and Kuldeep Kumar Singh got 10 votes. . Apart from this, elections were also held for 9 committees of Bar Council on Friday.
After winning the election, the new president Manmohan Lamba said that there is no suitable place for the office of Bar Council in Nainital, so he will move the office of Bar Council to Haldwani or elsewhere in the district within a year. The Advocate General, including 12 members of the Bar Council, voted in the voting.
