No one knows what will happen on March 10, the day of counting of votes, but it is certain that there is going to be a change in the BJP organization. There are indications that many important office bearers including the state president may be changed. On 7 March, Union Minister and Uttarakhand election in-charge Prahlad Joshi can discuss with the leaders of the state in this regard during his visit to Dehradun. BJP is not even denying this. BJP leaders say that this is the right of the Center, if change happens, it is a natural process. At the same time, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has talked about discord within the party and investigation on the allegations.

Voting in Uttarakhand took place on February 14 and a week later, some BJP MLAs made serious allegations against the state president Madan Kaushik as well as others of working against the party. Due to this, the infighting within the party came to the fore and many discussions started within the party regarding Kaushik. Now the situation is that the matter has reached to change some other office bearers including the state president. However, BJP’s Rajpur Road MLA Khajandas says that the decision in this regard will be decided by the central leadership.

BJP is not denying!

BJP state spokesperson Suresh Joshi says that this is a natural process and the party keeps on changing the office bearers from time to time. Regarding the change in the organization, Joshi said that the BJP also assesses the conditions within itself from time to time and keeps on making changes according to the need. Joshi was seen shying away from considering party squabbles as the reason for this.

Will the change happen after the election or before?

However, Joshi is saying that whatever changes will happen in the organization, it will happen only after the results of the elections. But regarding the important meeting going to be held on 7th March, it is believed that BJP can make changes at the organization level even before the results are out. At the same time, Congress leader Surendra Agarwal says that BJP has started seeing the truth written on the wall. He has realized the defeat, so the state president is also being targeted.
