Uttarakhand: Allegations of rigging in postal and service voters – Congress will knock on the door of the High Court

The Congress, which is alleging rigging of postal and service voters in the 2022 assembly elections, is also preparing to fight a legal battle in the High Court. Congress says that if the Election Commission does not investigate and act on suspicious postal and service ballots, then all options are open. State President Ganesh Godiyal and former cabinet minister Rajendra Bhandari raised serious questions regarding pastel ballot in a conversation with media personnel at Rajiv Bhawan on Sunday. Godiyal said that irregularities in the postal ballot are coming to the fore in his constituency himself. He himself is also a witness to the postal ballot coming of a person who retired from the army about three years ago.

There are at least 300 such postal ballots which are under suspicion. Bhandari said that even in Badrinath assembly constituency, more than 50 such cases have come to his knowledge. This discrepancy in the postal ballot is very worrying. Godiyal said that several memorandums have been given to the Election Commission in this matter.

A request has been made to cancel the postal ballot of the deceased, retired personnel. If it does not happen then Congress will fight a legal battle. A writ will be filed against it in the High Court. It is claimed that BJP is losing badly in the elections. Godiyal said that Congress will form the government in Uttarakhand.
