Delhi : The husband, wife and two years of fighting killed so much over making pulses
North-West Delhi’s Subhash Place area erupted with gunshots late on Sunday night. After a dispute over the cooking of food, a madman opened fire on his wife, two years old and brother-in-law’s wife. In the attack, the wife of the accused and two years of age died on the spot while the brother-in-law’s wife was badly injured. When the locals suddenly heard the sound of gunfire, they informed the police. Immediately the police reached there. The deceased have been identified as Seema (39), two brothers-in-law Surendra (36) and Vijay (33). After being shot in the leg, Vijay’s wife Babita (33) has been admitted to a nearby hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
The accused Hitendra (40) has been arrested from the spot. The licensed revolver used in the crime has also been recovered from him. Actually, Hitendra’s wife used to call her maternal relatives home on small matters. This irritated Hitendra. The incident on Sunday is believed to be the result of the same. According to sources, Hitendra was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The police is trying to find out whether the accused was drinking alcohol at the time of the incident by getting his medical done. Police is also interrogating the rest of the family members. According to the police, Hitendra lives with the family on the fourth floor of a four-storey house in Shakurpur village.
Apart from his wife Seema Yadav, he has two sons Pratham Yadav (19) and Jai Yadav (16). Hitendra has rented out the remaining floors of the house and the shops on the ground floor. Due to this the family gets an income of lakhs of rupees. This is how the family expenses are met. The relatives told that Hitendra is addicted to alcohol. Because of this, he often used to quarrel with his wife over petty matters. On Sunday night, Hitendra reached home under the influence of alcohol. Seema had cooked pulses at home. When Hitendra asked about the food, the wife told about the preparation of pulses. On this matter the accused got furious. He started abusing his wife.
Seema also went to the terrace and called her brothers. Shortly after, Hitendra’s brother-in-law Surendra, Vijay and Vijay’s wife Babita and Seema’s mother Krishna reached there. The family was just talking to Hitendra when suddenly he got into a rage. He immediately went to his room and brought out his licensed revolver from there. As soon as he arrived, he opened fire on his wife and her family members. Seema, Surendra, Vijay and Babita were shot in the attack, while Seema’s mother Krishna narrowly escaped. Neighbors ran there after hearing a sudden gunshot. Everyone’s senses were blown away seeing the sight inside. All the four injured were lying in a pool of blood. The case has been reported to police.
As soon as the information was received, the district officials reached the spot. The injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where Seema, Surendra, Vijay were declared brought dead while Babita is undergoing treatment after she sustained a bullet injury in her leg. After preliminary investigation, the police have come to know that Seema used to call her family members at home during small quarrels. This angered Hitendra badly. It is believed that due to this reason he committed the crime due to anger and intoxication. Crime team and FSL team have collected evidence from the spot. Police is probing the matter after interrogating the rest of the family.
Hitendra often quarreled with his wife. His wife used to complain to her parents. Hitendra got very angry with this. Her anger broke out after her in-laws arrived on Sunday night and she shot everyone.
