39354 service postal ballots reached the counting centers in Uttarakhand, ballots will not be accepted after 8 am tomorrow

Till now 39343 service votes (postal ballots of military personnel) have reached for the Uttarakhand assembly elections, which is 41 percent of the total service voters. Postal ballots have been issued for 94471 service voters in all 70 seats in the state. There has been a lot of uproar in the state regarding the postal ballot of service voters in the current elections. There is a round of accusations and counter-allegations among the political parties regarding this. In the midst of all this, the arrival of postal ballots in the counting centers continues. In this episode so far 39354 postal ballots have reached the state. These postal ballots will be accepted till 8 am on March 10, just before the counting of votes. Postal ballots received after the commencement of the counting of votes will not be accepted.

So far 47004 polling personnel, police personnel and essential services personnel have also cast their vote through postal ballot in the election. Postal ballots were issued to 54996 government employees on election duty in the state. Of these, 85.46 percent personnel have voted so far. The votes of government employees will also be accepted till the counting of votes. This time, under a new system, the commission had provided the facility of voting through postal ballot to the voters above 80 years of age and differently abled. This option was chosen by 16858 voters in all the Legislative Assemblies. Of these, 15490 have cast their vote through postal ballot. This is 91 percent of the voters of this category.

Bank workers in counting of votes, work affected

All the work in the bank has come to a standstill due to the duty of counting of other employees including the branch manager working in State Bank of India at Patisain in Pauri district. Due to which the common man is facing problems. Patisain businessmen Surendra Singh and Narendra Singh told that it is okay to impose duty in counting of employees. But, the bank management should have made arrangements for staff for the convenience of the account holders. Told that the villagers who came from remote villages of the area are returning back unnecessarily due to lack of work in the bank. Taxi union president Nandan Singh Rawat said that in the month of March, the general public collects the outstanding tax. But, at present the bank is closed till March 10. Here, due to non-availability of funds in ATMs, the problems of the common people have increased. Satyaprakash, the only employee present in the bank, told that the branch manager and cashier had to go to the counting of votes as per the instructions of the higher officials. The situation will return to normal after the counting of votes.
