Uttarakhand : Daughter took revenge for father’s previous defeat, but father again lost election
Swami Yatheeswaranand, the most powerful cabinet minister in the Dhami government, has lost from Haridwar Rural seat. Harish Rawat’s daughter Anupama Rawat has done the job of defeating him. Yes, Anupama Rawat has won the election from Haridwar Rural and has avenged the defeat of her father Harish Rawat in 2017. But Harish Rawat has again raised a challenge in front of the daughter by defeating Lalkuan. Harish Rawat is one of the most senior Congress leaders in Uttarakhand. But for the last few years, defeat has been behind him in such a way that he is not giving up. In the year 2017, while being the Chief Minister, he contested from two seats Haridwar Rural and Kichha, but he had to face defeat on both. After this, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress made him its candidate from Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha constituency, but here too he was defeated. Now in the Uttarakhand assembly elections of 2022, former CM Harish Rawat has to face a big defeat from Lalkuan assembly seat. His rival BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht defeated him by 14 thousand votes.
Swami Yatheeswaranand of BJP has lost from Haridwar Rural seat by nearly 4000 votes. On the other hand, former CM Harish Rawat has lost the election from Lalkuan. BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht has won the Lalkua seat from where Harish Rawat was fighting. In this election, Congress was contesting under the leadership of Harda. This time Education Minister Arvind Pandey has won from Gadarpur by 1179 votes. With this win, he has made a record. This is the first time that the education minister of the state has won for the second time as well. Congress candidate Vikram Singh Negi has won from Pratap Nagar seat of Tehri. He defeated BJP candidate Vijay Panwar. Apart from this, BJP candidate Munna Singh Chauhan has won from Vikas Nagar seat of Dehradun. He defeated Congress candidate Navprabhat. Apart from this, the first result of Uttarakhand assembly elections came out from Lohaghat seat. Khushal Singh of Congress has won here. Khushal Singh won by more than 5000 votes. The results of Uttarakhand assembly elections have started coming. On the other hand, separate rounds of counting are going on for the rest of the seats.
