Truth and Reality

The slogan of ‘Nai Hawa Hai… Nai SP Hai…’ went in vain, Akhilesh Yadav was rejected by the public, due to which Akhilesh alliance lost in UP!

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav created an atmosphere of the party in the state with the slogan ‘Nai Hawa Hai… Nai SP Hai…’ but missed the target of forming the government. Despite many lucrative promises, the SP could not win the trust of the people. However, this is the best performance of SP till date in terms of vote percentage. In 2012, when its government was formed with an absolute majority, it got 29.13 percent of the votes, while this time it got more than 31.5 percent.

Even when compared to the last election i.e. 2017, the SP has got about 10 percent more votes. Its seats are also expected to come about two and a half times more, but the storm of BJP votes shattered its dreams of forming the government. The SP will once again have to sit in the opposition.

Akhilesh Yadav made all efforts to make a dent in the SP’s strong vote bank Yadav-Muslim to add other votes to the most backward and scheduled castes. For this, many leaders of backward castes and Dalit fraternity were also made in their side. Along with this, the SP President also played the soft Hindutva card by visiting the temples of the deities. Great care was also taken in ticket distribution so that Hindu-Muslim votes do not get polarized.

In the context of the politics of the state divided in the lines of religion and caste, the SP set the pieces according to its own accord. Akhilesh also took care of not accusing SP of familyism in ticket distribution. As a result of this, the SP has increased its vote bank, but could not gather the necessary numbers to form the government.

SP also took care of all sections in its manifesto. Promises like 300 units of free electricity, restoration of old pension were also discussed a lot. Despite raising the problems of unemployment, inflation and abandoned animals, Akhilesh failed to win the trust of the general public. A lot of crowd gathered in Akhilesh’s election public meetings and rallies. He also left no stone unturned to target BJP and CM Yogi. Akhilesh also claimed many times to get more than 300 seats with full confidence, but his claims were foiled in front of the BJP’s electoral chessboard.

Could not win trust even on the promise of employment: Akhilesh had raised the issue of employment vigorously in the elections. He hoped that this would help the youth. But this bet also remained empty for the party. It is believed that many recruitments in Akhilesh’s government from 2012 to 2017 were stuck in the courts, so a large section of youth did not believe him.

Where did Akhilesh Yadav go?

  • Involving backward caste leaders of other parties on the last day of elections.
  • Ignoring our leaders, giving tickets to the leaders who came from outside.
  • Marginalization of senior socialist leaders of the party.
  • Not using properly Shivpal Yadav, who has a strong understanding of the organization.
  • To field tainted and bahubali candidates.
  • Lack of direct association with party workers.
  • After leaving the government, not paying attention to the organization – the dissolution of the state
  • Executive and other organizations for five years.
  • Taking Jinnah’s name heavy in the election meeting.
