Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Tibetan community took out a rally against China

On the 63rd anniversary of the National Tibetan Women’s Rebellion Day, the Tibetan community took out a rally against China. During this he demanded the release of Tibetans from the United Nations.
On Saturday, a meeting of the Regional Tibetan Women’s Association, Dehradun was held at the Uttarachal Press Club. In which officers, members and students of various branches participated. During this, prayers for world peace were offered by worshiping Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. After this, women of Tibetan society, holding placards and flags in their hands, took out a rally from the press club raising slogans like Jai Bharat, Jai Tibet, UNO Save Tibet, Jai Lama, Stop the occupation of Tibet, Tibet needs justice. Which concluded from Buddha Chowk, Darshanlal Chowk to Lansdowne Chowk after coming back to the Press Club. Dodup Gyalpo, Dehradun Officer of Tibetan Settlement, said that on March 12, 1959, Tibetan women started a protest against China. Since then this cycle has been going on continuously. Tibetan women have urged the United Nations to hold talks on the release of the Dalai Lama’s representatives from China. Ramchandra Upadhyay, the founder of the Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association, said that the day is celebrated to protest the Chinese occupation of Tibet in 1959. At that time, Tibet’s women’s groups were quite vocally opposed to China’s action. As a result, hundreds of civilians lost their lives. Tibetan citizens have always given importance to peaceful protest. Lama Tenkat, Karki, Dolma, Nugyansh etc. were present on this occasion.
