Uttar Pradesh : If the woman did not take off and hang the sari, then the train would have become a victim of an accident, the sari saved the lives of 150 people.

The train going to Agra escaped from being a victim of a major accident on Thursday. The railway track was broken near village Nagla Gularia of Avagarh block area. Omvati, the woman of the village, saw the broken track and realized the danger. The train was coming from the front. Omvati was wearing a red sari. He took off the sari and tied it in the middle of the track and signaled danger to the railway driver. Understanding the gesture, the driver stopped the train. Later, railway officials were informed. On which the work of repairing the track was started by sending the employees.
The train had reached village Nagla Gularia at 8.20 am. Meanwhile, Omvati of the village was going to her farm while passing by. Then his eyes fell on a part of the track which was broken. To stop the train coming from Avagarh, he took off his red colored sari and tied it on the track. Seeing this, the train driver stopped the train by applying brakes.
150 passengers were traveling in the train
Around 150 passengers left for Agra from Etah railway station at 7.30 am. Railway employees said that on Thursday, about 150 passengers had bought tickets to go to Agra. A big accident was averted due to the courage and understanding of the woman.
The driver gave a reward of Rs 100
Seeing the woman standing in the middle of the red cloth track, the driver stopped the train, but he also did not have the right information as to what was the matter. When he got down after the train stopped, he was told that the track was broken. Seeing this, the driver was shocked, while encouraging Omvati, gave 100 rupees as a reward.
Repair done in half an hour, then the train passed
The employees were informed about the breakdown of the track at Nagla Gularia. After which other employees including Keyman fixed the broken track. It took about half an hour to get the track right. After the track was fixed, the train was pulled out.
Prayagraj Division’s PORO Amit Singh said that work was going on on the railway line near village Gularia, where the train could not go faster than 20 km per hour. However, the keyman present there had informed the railway officials. The train was pulled out only after the track was repaired.
