Uttarakhand / Champawat: Every week for the life of pregnant women, they cover 86 km from Lohaghat.

The health facilities in Champawat, the frontier district, are such that radiologists are going on leave in the district headquarters for a long time, while the post of radiologist in Tanakpur is vacant from 2015 till date. Dr. Rakholiya has taken full responsibility of three big hospitals by covering a distance of hundreds of kilometers throughout the month. He has been honored by many organizations in view of his dedication in public service by staying away from home and family.
In this sequence, he has been honored today by District Magistrate Champawat for his excellent service. It is to be known that even before this, many organizations of the area have honored Dr. Rakholiya.

Dr. Rakholiya told that he has been serving in the district headquarters for about six months and Tanakpur for one and a half years. In a conversation with Hillwarta, Dr. Lalit told that the distance from Lohaghat to Champawat is 29 km while the distance from Lohaghat to Tanakpur is 86 km. There were problems in movement in the rain, but patients wait there, so even in difficult circumstances, they somehow reached there and performed their work. Rakholiya says that the patient needs you and if you are honest with your work then distance and difficulty does not matter. They get a lot of love from their patients, this is their biggest asset.
While many doctors from the government hospitals of the hill area are eager to come to the field every day, Dr. Lalit has been continuously rendering his services in the mountain for many years. Despite this, his wife Dr. Ritu Rakholiya is posted as a pediatrician in the Government Medical College, Haldwani and she is setting an example of public service away from the family.
