Raghav Chadha’s troubles increased for calling BJP a ‘party of goons-luffs’, BJP leader sent legal notice

BJP Yuva Morcha Punjab vice-president Ashok Sareen on Sunday sent a legal notice to Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha asking him to apologize to the Bharatiya Janata Party. A written apology has been demanded from Raghav Chadha for his remarks on BJP. At the same time, a complaint will be filed against him for failing to apologize. It has been written in the legal notice that Raghav Chadha has called BJP a ‘party of goons-lafangs’ and ‘India’s goth party’. He should apologize for this.
What is the whole matter
In fact, Raghav Chadha, Rajya Sabha MP and Deputy Chairman of Delhi Jal Board, had commented on BJP during a press conference on 16 April. After which a dispute arose. While addressing the press conference, Raghav Chadha had called BJP ‘India’s goth party’ and ‘goons-laffung’ party.
A notice has now been sent to him on this remark of Raghav Chadha. This notice has been sent under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). In the legal notice, Sareen has demanded a written apology from Chadha within 3 days. Failure to do so will result in a criminal complaint being filed against them.
The legal notice reads that “You have falsely and maliciously brought down the reputation and created ill-will against the BJP in the minds of the people of the society. Your statements are derogatory and tantamount to character assassination of the entire BJP.
