Uttarakhand : Video conference chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami

The VC was completed under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding the preparation of the district in view of the possible disasters in the coming monsoon period. Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat in VC said that every effort is being made to minimize incidents like any kind of disaster. And also, in view of the upcoming monsoon, a cleanliness drive is being run in all the river channels by the construction agencies. So that water does not stagnate and the infection of disease can be avoided. District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal said that sensitive, landslide areas of the district have been identified along with revenue and construction agencies. 12 days training is being given to the youth of the district for quick action in case of any kind of disaster in the district. So that relief and rescue work can be done by reaching the spot quickly. At the same time, he told that local and rural people are the first responders at any place, in view of this, people from different areas are being trained.
The District Magistrate said that all the activities of Kumaon are conducted from the district. In view of this, there is a need to increase the number of SDRF. So that in other districts of Kumaon, quick relief and rescue work can be done in case of disaster like incident. Enumerators of various construction agencies were received for disaster relief work in the district, which have been sent to the government for the process of getting the budget.
