There was a ruckus once again on Wednesday due to the reopening of closed meat shops in Dwarahat Nagar area of ​​Almora district. Traders rallied against meat sellers. Traders demonstrated fiercely at the crossroads here. Police took into custody two meat vendors for using abusive language and warning of self-immolation. Traders are demanding to set up meat shops elsewhere at any cost. On Wednesday, meat vendors opened shops with their entire families. When other traders of the city came to know about this, there was a ruckus. After this all the traders reached Trimurti Chowk and started protesting by raising slogans of Pahari Ekta Zindabad. The mercury of the merchants went up when a meat seller started using abusive and vulgar language. The police, who reached the spot, immediately caught two meat vendors who were behaving indecently and took them to the police station. Here, the traders said that when the meat shops open in the market, the traders will protest by taking to the streets. Meat shops will not be allowed to open in the market at any cost. The police feared that there might be a sit-in on Wednesday. Therefore, the police had already called for police force from areas like Chaukhutia etc.
