Afghanistan terrorists attack Pakistani military post, three soldiers killed

Militants in Afghanistan fired heavy weapons at Pakistani military posts across the border overnight, killing three personnel, the army said on Saturday. The latest violence caused panic in the volatile region.

According to the AP, the statement said that several people were killed in the firing of terrorists at an army post in Pakistan’s rugged North Waziristan region. The attack comes at a time when Afghanistan has been battling a series of blasts in recent days, including the Friday bombing of a mosque in northern Kunduz province, which killed 33 people, including a nearby religious school or Many madrasa students were involved.

Increase in terrorist attacks trouble for Taliban
A significant increase in terror attacks in Afghanistan, as well as in neighboring Pakistan, poses a serious security challenge to Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers, who came to power last August in the final days of the chaotic withdrawal of US and NATO troops.

Although the Taliban have been criticized for their strict religious ideological orders (reminiscent of their regime of the 1990s), their tough approach to security gave hope for better security in the early days.

Islamic State becomes Taliban’s biggest challenge
However, an Islamic State ally, known as the Islamic State or IS-K in Khorasan province, has recently claimed responsibility for a growing number of attacks in Afghanistan as well as neighboring Pakistan. The Islamic State is proving to be a major challenge for the Taliban.

IS-K claimed responsibility for a series of attacks across Afghanistan on Thursday, most of which targeted the country’s Shia minority. The radical Sunni Muslim group condemns Shias as heretics.

Many terrorist organizations are active in Afghanistan
However, IS-K is not the only terrorist organization in Afghanistan posing a security dilemma to the Taliban government in Kabul. The violent Pakistani Taliban, known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan or (TTP), has also intensified its attack on Pakistani military posts from their Afghan bases. Along with this, IS-K has also claimed responsibility for some attacks targeting Pakistani military personnel, which has damaged relations between the two countries.

Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers have promised that no terrorist group will use its territory to attack any other country, but Kabul has not yet arrested or handed over any TTP leader in Afghanistan to Pakistan. .

Other terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan include China’s militant Uighurs of the East Turkestan Movement, which seeks independence for northwest China, and the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU).

Pakistan’s warning to Taliban
Pakistan’s military statement on Saturday warned the Taliban rulers of Afghanistan to do more. Pakistan’s military statement said, “Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against the nation and expects that the Afghan government will not allow such activities to be conducted in future.”

After seven Pakistani soldiers were killed in an ambush earlier this month, Pakistan retaliated by bombing inside Afghanistan on 16 April. Meanwhile, the Abdul Rahim Shaheed School, which was attacked by IS-K on Thursday, has been reopened for education. Seven students were killed in the attack. The school principal gave each student a pen and a flower at the start of classes.
