Kaur can be heard saying, ‘I think Ram was a cunning person, he planned to trap Sita and put her in trouble and put all the blame on Ravana.’
She further says, ‘How can we say who is good and who is bad? And the whole world is worshiping Rama and saying that Ravana is a bad person? All the planning is done by him (Ram), so how can he be so good?’
After this recording went viral, people online reacted strongly, after which the university issued a statement.
“We understand that some people have been hurt by the video shared on social media in which one of our faculty members can be heard sharing his personal opinion,” the private university said in a statement.

We have always been a secular university, where people of all religions and faiths are treated equally with love and respect. He has been relieved from service with immediate effect. However, we deeply regret this entire incident.
