Himachal Pradesh / Shimla : Fire broke out in the home stay above the house in Narkanda, 66-year-old owner burnt alive, died

One person has died after a fire broke out at a homestay at Narkanda in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. The upper floor of the homestay was completely gutted in the incident. Along with this, goods and jewelry have also been burnt. At present, the police is investigating the matter.
According to information received from Shimla Police, Amar Chand Dogra used to run S/O Bhagat Ram Dogra Home Stay in Nagrot village under Sihal Panchayat of Narkanda. On Tuesday, a fire broke out in the home stay on the top floor of his house. Police say that the reason behind the fire is not yet known and the team of FSL Junga is reaching the spot in this regard.
Vehicles of the local administration, police and fire brigade reached the spot and carried out rescue work. In this arson, the landlord Amar Chand Dogra has died of burns and the body of the deceased has been taken for post-mortem. Damage to property and other valuables, jewelery etc. is being said due to the arson. The Revenue Department is assessing the damage caused in the incident. The home stay built on the top floor of this house has been completely burnt down and apart from this, there is a report of destruction of jewelery as well.
