Nearly 18 percent jump in COVID-19 cases in India, 2,927 new cases in last 24 hours

In India, once again there is a spurt in the cases of corona. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, there has been a jump of about 18 percent in the cases of infection in the last 24 hours. According to the released report, 2,927 new cases have been reported in 24 hours. During this, 32 people have died in the country due to Kovid-19. The number of active cases in the country is currently 16,279. It is a matter of relief that 2,252 patients have got freedom from corona infection in the last 24 hours. At present the recovery rate is 98.75 percent.
Cases are also increasing rapidly in the country’s capital Delhi. On Tuesday, 1,204 new cases of infection with corona virus were reported in Delhi, while one person died. On Monday, 1,011 cases and one death were reported in the national capital while the positivity rate rose to 6.42 per cent. The number is 26,169.
Significantly, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) on Tuesday allowed limited emergency use of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin for children aged 6-12 years. DCGI has also directed the vaccine manufacturer to submit the safety data including adverse event data with proper analysis every 15 days for the first two months.
Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted on Tuesday that the fight against Kovid has become stronger now. Two doses of ‘Covaxin’ for age group 6 to 12, ‘Corbevax’ for age group 5 to < 12 and ‘ZyCoV-D’ for age group above 12 have been approved.
